    I think she's telling people that just to shut them up. I'm sure everyone and their mother is asking her what colors, when, how many bridesmaids, blah blah blah, and I'm sure she either doesn't know yet, or doesn't want to share it. Kind of like my mom, she has been engaged for over 5 years with no wedding in sight. She tells people they are getting married on February 30th ;)

It stops people asking questions about wedding plans if they think it's a long way off. I told everyone I hadn't set a date until everything was booked and the invitations printed to stop them trying to interfere. It could just be they are both so busy that they don't have time together to plan a wedding in the near future

You have to take everything she says with a grain of salt. She just likes to spew random crap out there. Like her director Michael Bay was Hitler?? Hmmmm wonder why she got cut from transformers??

I doubt that would actually happen. It sounds to me like something she just told the media as a more polite way to say "none of your business!"

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me but according to what I read, her relationship with Brian A. Green was rocky and on again off again for a long time. I can't blame her for waiting. lol

I don't think anything about that particular comment regarding long engagements. Megan Fox just says whatever comes to her pretty head, her comment doesn't mean she will actually have a long engagement or that she will even be married or even that she won't dump B.A.G next week. However, I do disagree with people making a mockery of the proposal and engagement. I consider these and marriage very serious commitments only suitable for mature adults.
