Please help! I can't decide on what wedding colours to choose!?
-
I am getting married in August and am really confused about what colours I should have for my wedding! The wedding ceremony, breakfast and reception are taking place in a country house. The décor at the place is quite rich, some walls are burgundy, others dark green and patterned, or cream. How can I fit my wedding colours around this? Should I fit my wedding colours around this? As I am getting married in summer, summery colours would be nice, but will they look wrong in the place? If I opt for colours that match the place can it look summery? Please help because I haven’t got long and really can’t decide on what to do!

Answer:
Don't match the place and anyway, those are pretty neutral colors - earthy. You could choose hues of those colors only if you want to, but the summery colors you want will make YOU very happy. Congrats and Good Luck.

Go for creamy and berries. Very summery the whole berry thing, but a rich deep berry colour will also compliment your surroundings. Flattering colour to wear too.
Take a breath, you still have plenty of time. I myself had an August wedding. And right now, I didn't even have my wedding dress. You will be fine. With the colors that are in the house your wedding may end up looking a little bit more like fall, but that is fine too. We were married in the country and opted for a fall colored wedding. With the burgundy and dark green, you could try for a dark orange almost gold, or a chocolate brown. Those would all go well. I wish you luck on your big day. Don't forget to have fun, it is supposed to be fun as well.
dont work your colors around the place. do like a pretty yello and cream or a violet and a berry
what i would do is make the colors off white or light beige. when you have your flower girl in off white or beige and your brides maids it is classy and elegant you know like european weddings and this lights up the room and it is beautiful even if you wanted to go with white flowers but i really like the off white or very light beige all the way around. Never goes out of style, goes with whatever any room throws at you believe me its beautiful when its all thrown together its like Linen classy clean beautiful you'll never look back and say what was i thinking. congratulations and good luck
i reckon violet its summery :)
try a pink and green
no dont work your wedding colors around those colors....your wedding would be very blah if you did....choose the colors you want...i would go with summery colors , yellow , pink,a creamy orange, w/e makes you happy its your big day and you want to remember it forever...Congrats and good luck
First things first, you don't have to incorporate your wedding colors with the decor of the venue... :) But, here's what I think... Don't down it till you look at it: Burgundy and Peach http://tastefullyentertaining.blogspot.com/2008/09/burgundy-peach-wedding.html Now you have a dark color contrasted with a bright summer color... :)
Congratulations. Grab paint sample chips from a hardware store and match the darker colors with the colors at the hall (the decor). Look for dresses on the lighter end of the same samples. This way you are certain they will coordinate. I would have suggested that you use complimentary colors or even harmonious coordinates. It is unfortunate that the house is already decorated in complimentary colors (red/green). It limits your options.
