Anyone know of any good restaurants in Newquay Cornwall?

Newquay weddings...really need help..?

  • we really want to get married in cornwall but the only things that in our way to sort out are travel for everyone to get there from london..and accomodation for the night... i dont feel like its right to ask my guests to pay for themselves for our wedding!? all i want to know is prices. does anyone know how many seats approx on a plane to newquay?? xx

    flights to newquay from london average around L58 to L90 depending on what time of year it is. as for having the guests at your wedding pay for their own airfare and accomodations...it is very nice of you to want to pay for them, but it is perfectly normal and acceptable for guests who travel to a wedding to pay for everything themselves. if you are able to pay for the guests to come, that is great....but if you can't you can still get group rates from a local hotel to offer them and you can offer to pay for their extra meals apart from the wedding.

You need to check that there are still flights to Newquay. The company were going to stop them. The nearest airport then would be Plymouth.

There are a number of companies that fly from London to Newquay. The London City route to Newquay Airport has just been discontinued, but there are flights from Stansted (AirSouthwest) and Gatwick. The planes used are not huge ones, but they're not the small/private sized ones. Probably 300 people/flight? The trouble will be booking the tickets for people as a group. The cost is likely to be about £30 each way, plus you pay £5 airport tax to leave Newquay airport, so that's another cost to expect. It might be better to hire a luxury coach and get everybody down by coach. With an air conditioned coach the journey will be comfortable and Volcanic Ash won't prevent it from making the journey! It means people aren't having to limit their packing and get to an airport X hours ahead of time (needing ID/passport), then having to get from the airport to the hotel once they've arrived.
