What are Philadelphia's "colors?

What should my wedding colors be?

  • I had my wedding colors picked out, and i did some planning already. But its not a big deal to change everything if i change my colors. My wedding colors WERE:: Tiffany blue, pink, and silver as a hint/pop color. But my fiance has been hinting at me that he wants to change the colors, and have red in it. I want something unique and not plain. I don't like the Red and White, its way to plain. What colors should i go with? Please help. send me pictures to please.

http://bp1.blogger.com/_PhB0Qc_aF0Q/R5WM3dY9UPI/AAAAAAAAACY/rnqdcrd2uO4/s1600-h/hiddengarden.jpg This is NOT tiffany blue. But it is similar. Try to imagine a lighter blue. I just saw an episode yesterday of 'whose wedding is it anyway' and the wedding planner helped them decide what other color to go with their Tiffany Blue themed wedding and it was red!! It looked awesome. I've unfortunately been unable to find pictures of it. However, this wedding in the picture above was showcased in a wedding magazine. The blue is a little bright but still very nice! http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2214/2202514603_7ff7c1190b_o.jpg&imgrefurl=http://i-weddings.blogspot.com/2008/02/themes-ilovethese-shades-of-red-wedding_09.html&h=683&w=683&sz=92&hl=en&start=22&sig2=z3STHXTPTLx9q-IMpL_cyw&um=1&usg=__cgxRucuk_b-f50rswIsF_Glcl6o=&tbnid=hmPyPIqoOoLFdM:&tbnh=139&tbnw=139&ei=vSHASNfAM6GGjAH3062IDg&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtiffany%2Bblue%2Band%2Bred%2Bwedding%26start%3D21%26ndsp%3D21%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN Here is another one. Less tiffany blue here. I know you said no red and white. (And I really don't blame you. lol It's so overdone!) But with the blue on the boxes you can kind of get an idea of how Tiffany blue, red and white work together. I would recommend incorporating more blue and less white with this picture. But still looks really good! http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/2425/hostessxmasvs6.jpg Here's one that's very similar and a little better use of the colors than the other one. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.pinkcakebox.com/images/cake680.jpg&imgrefurl=http://blog.pinkcakebox.com/white-blue-blossom-wedding-cake-2008-06-22.htm&h=475&w=400&sz=65&hl=en&start=111&sig2=eNEe2_X3TJTQFYvPFqV4JQ&um=1&usg=___bhsBJSIJVMwZ2W-SpXZdA6O8oo=&tbnid=p99TWrfKnoDczM:&tbnh=129&tbnw=109&ei=iyLASLDrCYf2iAHs3omHDg&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtiffany%2Bblue%2Band%2Bred%2Bwedding%26start%3D105%26ndsp%3D21%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN Try to imagine SOME of the flowers being red! Stunning! http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2244/2281680433_0461840478.jpg%3Fv%3D0&imgrefurl=http://flickr.com/photos/23963040%40N06/2281680433&h=500&w=297&sz=63&hl=en&start=139&sig2=JFuQzELo3E-VCrqdFhaaDg&um=1&usg=__VmWUu578Exl88gvAyXiXHNcgbm4=&tbnid=FYy1eMKsPexepM:&tbnh=130&tbnw=77&ei=CCPASJ7KL5ewiwG-9N2BDg&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtiffany%2Bblue%2Band%2Bred%2Bwedding%26start%3D126%26ndsp%3D21%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN This, in my opinion, is a hideous cake. But you get an idea of what the colors look like together. Imagine white flowers on it and it would be awesome! I'll add more if I find some. But if you end up using those colors. I would recommend using the red and white as accent colors and use Tiffany blue as your main color. Otherwise you might end up with a 'fourth of july' theme. lol Another alternative is to use silver instead of white! You are simply replacing your pink with red. And it will work!! http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/8545/aquachartreusefg7.jpg&imgrefurl=http://glamourthis.wordpress.com/2007/10/25/aqua-chartreuse/&h=508&w=384&sz=210&hl=en&start=8&sig2=0R_rn8EVFm57glFejoYevA&um=1&usg=__EsUKfIC3kWduzfndokAswOxVBfY=&tbnid=D8OnSEd3j-xhEM:&tbnh=131&tbnw=99&ei=4yfASNHZK4SeigGQqqGPDg&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dwedding%2Bcolor%2Btheme%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DG Another way to go!

something more bold, how about Torquise and red ? These colours are very modern and work very well together for a wedding theme you wont have to change much and you could even get a hint of silver in there too http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/2425/hostessxmasvs6.jpg http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg290/nylalany/coolflowercenterpiece_protea.jpg http://www.flourgirlweddingcakes.com/images/cake_4_tier_red-rose_orange-top.jpg

tiffany blue is a GORGEOUS color. I recently ran across a blog that shows alot of different colors that work with tiffany blue -- very informative blog! http://www.squidoo.com/tiffanyblueweddings

I would just replace the Pink with Red. I think Turquoise and Red look really bold and unique together, it will definitely pop! And the silver will still look fantastic as an accent. Good Luck!

How about the Tiffany Blue, Red, and Gold. I don't have a picture to show you but I think these colors look wonderful together!

Red and pink. Not many people do it, since its kind of hard..but if its done tactfully..its beautiful.

I'd say it depends on the season, but you can't beat the fall colors!! Red, orange, gold, and brown are fabulous. I'm sure there's lots of sites out there to get color ideas, but for starters you can browse www.custom-floral.com They have the floral designs sorted by color. Good luck.

we did chocolate brown and red. MORE RED then anything else
