Well, it was a county park instead of a state park, but we paid $90.00 for a large pavilion for the whole day. We would have paid less if we were residents of that county. We couldn't serve alcohol or use glasses, though. (Bowls, vases, and china were fine; we just had to use plastic punch cups instead of the real thing. Check with the park, though - some have different policies.) I have a picture of the view of the lake from the pavilion on my blog: http://www.truetoyouweddings.blogspot.com/

I don't think you have to pay much. Less than 200 I think. I looked in to it once and I think it was like 125.

it depends on the state...... but i'd think it wouldnt be more than a couple hundred

It depends on the state. Each state sets their own guidelines. You can probably find out a lot by going to your state's website and surfing around a bit. But, I would assume...it might be about $50 or so. Now, also check into this: Most ALL state parks have a fee coming into the park. I know here in Michigan, where I live, it's $6.00/each car for a day pass to get into the park. Are you going to pay for all of your guests? Just something to think about. (Note: it's charge per CAR...not per person.) Parks that will not have a daily use pass would be your local city/town/township parks.

I'm a DJ and I did a wedding at a state park in California. They are a pain in the butt for vendors not on their approved list. So if you have a friend who is going to be playing in a band for your wedding, the state park might make him purchase a $2 million insurance policy. Or if you have a caterer that you want to work with instead of the ones on the state park's list, you might have to pay the caterer extra for insurance and all the paperwork that they have to fill out. But one thing's for sure, that wedding I worked was beautiful as the state park was so well kept! * * *
