  • have a high school dipaloma. i was not spoiled or anything. but i have a fun-a-aolic personailty good times only and nothing to dare stand the way of that! i got a job at minimum wage my first paycheck went to a much needed shopping spree and belly ring! i dont spend more than a dollar on a ,meal i work at a goregery store and sadly see how much ppl waste towards food. why waste money towards food you can buy a whole bunch online i bought a ipad2 hermes birkin bag, over 15 chanel and 12 dior bags also xbox 360 wii and flat screen macbook pro yet people will waste their money towards food if your wondering yes i still live with my parents but when my boyfriend moves us out gonna be a dancer it pays so much better than anything college has to offer my sister went for 4 years a universey only to come out and get paid 9 dollars a hour not only would college bore me out of my wits but may rip me off too! anyone else feel this way? no im not a troll. i just have a different way of viewing things and tired of boring people so anyone agree?

  • Answer:

With your spelling and grammar, you'd have never made it in to college. And no, I don't agree with your nonsensical views about life and what is important. Food keeps people alive; Hermes bags are for showing off and going into debt.

You don't want to go due to fear of intense boredom? College was the craziest four years of my life. I would go back in a second if I could. And, I'm sorry, but "to come out and mget paid 9 dollars an hour" is just not accurate. I graduated college in 4 years and I started making $55,000/year, so I am not sure what degree your sister has.

Dancing will pay well, but will only last as long as you are pretty.

a high school diploma gets you min wage jobs or lame jobs pretty much the rest of your life, if that's ok with you to scrape by when it comes time to spend money on real stuff; rent, utilities, cable, phone bill, gas, electric, if you get a dog... their food and vet bills, go ahead and contine as you are. When you have a college diplopma that shows you can acomplish something; thinking, working, learning, expanding your knowledge, studying something you like to do and possibly having a career. when you get out of school - you dont always get your dream job right away, but it usually happens if you push it. In college you also have a lot of oppurtunities to travel and study in another country. My friend studied Spanish and lived in Spain for a semester for at least 2 years in a row, same thing for another friend who studied French - she stayed in France. Its lame not to go if your parents will fund it.

I'm guessing when you say "waste money on food" you mean in a restaurant. When you are on your own, you will have to go to the grocery store and plan your own meals. If you can make a living because you have a talent for something, more power to ya. I would recommend learning from somewhere. College isn't the only place to learn. A long term career for a dancer would be to become a dance teacher, so I hope you are good with kids. Have a plan for yourself in the long run. College is not for everyone, but don't stop learning. Read books that teach you about teaching dance, or whatever it is you want to do. Invest time into learning and you will probably be ok. But only if you learn to save your money. The important thing to do at your age is to find something you can do well that will support yourself and children for the rest of your life. It sounds like your sister didn't choose a major that had a high probability of getting a job when she was done. Also, look into 2-year programs that are focused on learning a specific trade, like nursing or physical therapy. If you want to continue after that time, you can, but if you don't, you will still get a good paying job that will become a career.

yes and no. it depends if the person really wants college or not so do what your heart desires and have fun but you could first think about what's gonna be good for you that what i'm saying

Uh i don't understand...are you trying to get justification for your actions? Do you want us to tell you YEA skip college you'll be ok. Truth is your sister will probably get a better job eventually, but you'll probably be screwed for life if you don't go to college. You will always struggle. Your family will always struggle..well unless u marry someone who actually makes more than min wage. The amount of people who really make it as dancers are few, Are you that talented? Are you pretty? If you are then I say go for it.but even if you do get paid as a dancer that career will last only as long as your beauty does. I would say at least get a 2year degree. College isn't that bad how bored or entertained you are through it is depends mostly on you.
