What antidepressants don't cause weight gain as a side effect?

All can cause weight gain in people. some are better than others. like prozac made not hungry. but other gained. Wellibutron actual is pretty good in that department. most people lose weight on it, (they are actually looking into making it a diet pill because of it) That is probably the best one, its a very mild stimulant too, they also use it for smoking just call it zyban. for me though it takes away appetite, but also takes away that full feeling, so i have to watch when i remember to eat. : P

Wellbutrin

most anti depressants on the market cause weight gain and increased appetite, except wellbutrin which in many people doesn't affect appetite too much, and doesn't make ppl feel super sluggish. however, all antidepressants have side effects, and ultimately your doctor will decide which one is safest for you. you may even have to switch meds several times over the course of your treatment because sometimes a medication stops being effective. if you are on med that caused weight gain, the best thing to do is to start exercising more to offset the increase appetite. good luck
