How do I deal with a difficult sibling?

How to deal with an older sibling that is nosy, controlling and has senioritis?

  • my brother is really nosy, he snoops around my room to find embarrassing things that he can hold over my head, he is also has control issues, if you work on something he has to at least touch it or give input, if i'm writing then he stands behind me to read over my shoulder, i'll minimize it because i don't want people to read what i'm writing until it's finished but also because he'll tell me how stupid i am or how i'm a terrible writer, but he won't go away after i hide it, my mom and i will tell him to go away or to sit down but he won't listen, sometimes he sneaks into my laptop or he finds my usb drive and reads my writing then gives input on how to be a better writer when i actually need his help on something, he'll only do it if i pay him, and even then he'll put it off to the last second, like when i needed him to draw something for me, he only did half because "you can't rush art" and i ended up getting a zero because his drawing was the base for my entire project, when our mom tells him to do work around the house he tells me to do it then starts cursing and screaming when i say no because she told him to do it any help?

Tell your parents how you feel! Ask them to do something. Or hide everything improtant. I'm a writer too, but no one knows. I probably won't tell anyone until the day I'm ready to send something off to be published. Have you told him how you feel? Try having an open conversation with him, and see how it goes. But I completely know how you feel! I have two older sisters, and while we usually get along pretty well, sometimes I just want them to go away. It's all part of having siblings, I guess.
