Having Panic Attacks at Drivers Test, Cant Pass.?

ok... ive gone to take the test twice and have had a panic attack while i was in the line waiting. i need to know if theres a way to take this test without having some strange old guy in the car with me. my family gives me all kinds of support, but i dont think i can pass the test this way. thanks to all.

See your family doc and ask about getting in to see a therapist. Something is causing your panic attacks, and it's better to overcome that if you can. The reality is that you won't always have your family in the car - driving can be a very independent activity. So view the test as a way to overcome your anxiety. You'll get through it.

er...go somewhere else to take the test. one without a creepy old dude. honestly, the test isn't THAT bad. you have no reason to panic. :] it's okay.
The only way is to try to forget that there is a stranger in the car with you. Just try to smile, say hello, and view the person as friendly and not a stranger testing you. Good luck!
lets look at it this way, you wrote "don't think i can pass the test this way" so you believe you cant pass it. that's where your problem is the old guy is gonna be there anyway so face your fear and go for it get up early the test day sit down in a quiet room ,relax, close your eyes and see yourself driving with the old guy next to you and believe you're gonna pass.
my uncle had a similar problem. he was in the car driving good up until the three point turn and he just froze up. he took the test 4 times. in some cases i think that you just need to keep taking it until you feel that you can do it. try having one of your mom or dad's friends judge you. if you don't know them you should be able to overcome it.
meditate before you go, take deep breaths & tell yourself you can do this. & always remember, even if you mess up on a few things right away, you can still pass. Right off, & failed parallel parking & backing around a corner but I still passed..so dont give up.
Your doctor may be able to give you something that would calm you down but still be able to drive. Maybe you just need to practice standing in lines until it isn't uncomfortable.
wow i was like that on my first test.... i went for my testing and i couldn't breath. i thought i was losing oxygen, my mouth was soo dry. the lady that was my tester kept asking my if i was okay. lol i still haven't went back yet. it's been a couple of years now... maybe i should get it... but im still scared. everyone tells me that im a really good driver but i can't do it with a stranger looking at me. i know how you feel. good luck to you and also, wish me luck. lol
Unfortunately there is no other way other than having an old guy sat next to you. You can have your instructor sit in the back of your test car on the test if you like - but they are not allowed to interact with you so it's kind of pointless. Why not try some hypnotherapy or some herbal rescue remedy before the test?
