What Is My African Zodiac?

So this is what I've gathered from the zodiac changing ..... What do you think?

  • I've been trying to decide how I feel about this whole "zodiac changing" situation, and this is what I've figured out. So you've got your western zodiac, your tropical zodiac, and sidereal zodiac, right? Signs are different under each of these. So basically, your sign only depends on which of these 3 you believe in? For me, I've always been a Pisces. It's who I am. And according to the birth chart I had created awhile back, I AM a Pisces. And this is under the western zodiac. But under sidereal and tropical, I'd be an Aquarius. What do you think? Which do you believe in? And am I somewhat right in how I feel about this?

    About the new zodiacs: This is not new. It is Sidereal Astrology. Astronomers use the Sidereal zodiac, and Eastern cultures use it also. Western astrology uses the Tropical zodiac. Your OLD sign (which really isn't) is your Western sign. These NEW signs (which have been around for several thousand years) are the Sidereal signs. Either is accurate and can be used. It is your choice on how you wish to label yourself. Astrologers have known about all this for years. It is nothing new. ive always loved astrology too, so this whole thing has kind of pissed me off too! Im the same as you...ive grown up with my chart as an aries rising saggitarius and it completely fits...thats what i am...so im confused at how this could just change...ive noticed every newspaper and magazine ive looked at since then does not include the new sign and its adjustments...so i dont know how serious this all is...ive also heard it only applies to those born in 2009- onward, due to when the alignments have occured. i cant give you a forsure answer because im just as confused and curious as you! but im sure we will find out soon enough...but i do agree with you on that it depends what you believe for yourself, and i agree with you on the western zodic being most accurate.

Two zodiac systems: - Western = Tropical - Vedic/Hindu = Sidereal But yeah, your sign depends on which one you follow. Glad to read a breath of sanity in all this! If Pisces works for you, then you have your answer about which one it makes sense for you to follow ... and that is the Western/Tropical zodiac. You don't need to make any changes in what you're doing. Like most Western astrologers, I have studied both and chosen the Tropical zodiac system. There are a few minor predictive techniques that work better in the Sidereal system than in the Tropical, so every now and then I use the Sidereal system. Not often, though. By the way, the Sidereal has always been changing, IS always changing (although very very slowly). So this "zodiac changing" is NOT news. And those who practice Vedic astrology have always taken these changes into account, so they don't need to do anything different either.

I'm Gemini by the western zodiac, I refer to it as zodiac 1 and the new is guess... zodiac 2 (so whoever said bull$h!t got it wrong). I'm a Taurus by Zodiac 2(sidereal) I don't know what the tropical zodiac is lol. I consider myself Taurus, so this is a point I give to the sidereal. I've created my own chart and am working to fix the dates of it now. What I have done so far is made new funnier characters for each sign but basically it's the same as the western. For example: Pisces is: zodiac 1: a jellyfish, and zodiac 2: a hammerhead I have a hard time switching aries to pisces and pisces to aquarius, I just don't think it's possible that Pisces have changed. Pisces are emotional, sensitive dreamer types and all of them I know by Western Zodiac have been accurate, I see these traits in them. That doesn't work with Aquarius (whose totally unemotional) and most Aries(God of War) I know aren't that either. So I think there's some (very little) of the new sidereal that fits somewhat okay but I still think the original western is the best.

you are absolutely right in you are the *name of element sign* depending on which form of astrology you use. when it comes to signs just go with what you feel. but now that i think about it, we are all really so much more than our sun sign, so much more than one sign really because there are soooo many types of astrology in the world, and every sign result we get from them is like discovering more about ourselves and finding another piece that ultimately makes up the puzzle that we are as a whole. :) im usually into western..but right now im totally into Draconic astrology b/c it deals w/ our souls, our soul self/higher self/ our shadow self, subconscious, past lives, karmic debt, inner self, our "real self"!
