1987 ATV Kawasaki Tecate 4, 250cc, 2 stroke, a good choice?

My budget is around $800, and I found this ATV on Craigslist.. The pictures shows that it's in fairly good shape for how old it is. Is this ATV reliable even if it is from 1987? The guy is offering around $750 for it. Or if anyone has any other suggestions on ATVs that fit my budget. All answers are highly appreciated! Thanks!

Rather old for the money, but if kept in good running condition it's an iffy so you're going to have to ride it to decide because anyone can gift-wrap a piece of sh!t to make it look like a gift from heaven . Don't personally like three-wheelers as they are a bit unstable, but if you are dead-set on owning one at least make sure it's one that runs strong, the frame is straight and suspension works well.

i had the same one back in the early 90's it was i nice bike, lot broken bones and parts later wish i hadn't bought it. you can find a four wheeler tecate 250 for the same price if you just hang back and wait for it to come around.
