What is a good first dirt bike?

  • hey, i was looking into dirt bikes but i have no idea what is a good first dirt bike. i'm 17 and 5'1 keep that in mind. i want a bike that i can compete/race in but i also want something i can handle and that isn't slow until the point i want to upgrade. any suggestions?

    A 150cc 4 stroke is a great first bike, but not a great race bike. A 80 or 85cc 2stroke is a great race bike, but not a good first bike to learn on. Sit on a few and see if you can find something that suits you.
