Which sport four wheeler is better for four wheeling?

  • Which sport four wheeler is better for four wheeling. A 2011 yamaha raptor 700r, or a 2011 yamaha YFZ450? Which handles better through turns? Which one is more durable? I know the raptor is the faster of the two in both top speed and acceleration, but how much faster and quicker is the raptor alot or a little? I heard the YFZ450 is a really fast and powerful 450 is that true? Which one will climb hills better? I know there are a lot of questions here, but it would be good help if you could answer them all. Buying a new four wheeler soon. Thanks for the help.

    I would start out with not buying a yamaha, but instead maybe a honda or a can-am. But if you do buy a yamaha, get the yfz450. Raptors are unreliable and cheap. If you dont have any experience on a quad with alot of power, get a quad with a smaller cylinder displacement like a 250cc or a 350cc. Also it depends what kind of riding you want to do. If you like to ride on the trails, get a quad that isnt so wide, or get the yfz450 that is set up for woods riding. If you like going to the dunes, get a quad with a good amount of power. If i were you, i would buy the yfz450 over the raptor 700 any day. the raptor is heavy and doesnt turn so good, while the yfz is quick and nimble.

The 450 is way better. It's lighter which is the differance between day and night. The raptor is for fat guys who need the bigger motor to pull them around. The raptors suspension is way worst. The raptor is front heavy and top heavy. Look at the height differance between them side by side and you will see how much taller the raptor is. Plus the yfz looks badas*

the 450 hands down is a better bike. controls better and is faster on a track. the raptor is faster in the long runs. its so much heavier too. the 450's is what people race, and its for a reason. you dont see people racing 700's. if you want a really big powerful 4wheeler id go with the raptor. if you want a really light fast 4wheeler that you can whip around with ease, 450 all day. hope this helped ya bro. i just bought a banshee this week too. looking to throw some dirt around.
