Sorry, pitbikes and a kx65 are not street legal. You are not street legal. You cannot ride any motorized vehicle on the road. Sorry, the only way you can ride around the neighborhood is on a bicycle.

What is your financial situation? If I were you I would wait less than a year until you are 15. When you are 15 years old (at least here in Texas), you are allowed to take the motorcycle safety test, which, when passed, allows you to operate a 250cc machine. I wouldn't waste the money on a pit bike, due to it's poor resale value, BUT... If you are able to buy a bigger bike when you are 15, and are set on getting a pit bike as a rich kid toy, then I would personally go with a Kawasaki offroad bike (whatever one is comparable to a kx65 as far as size). U don't want to ride through the neighborhood on a noisy, non-reliable 2-stroke kx65. Just my opinion: get a 4-stroke.
