Does my motorcycle need to comply with california smog rules if plated in indiana?

    If you are passing through as a tourist, you'll be okay. Should you chose to live in CA and have a motorcycle licensed in another state, you may find yourself with some pretty hefty fines.

No. Enjoy your ride to California. Friend from Indiana did the trip a few years ago. Still talks about his adventure. Memories of this trip will last you a lifetime. you can ride it here or anywhere, if you want to register it here then your in luck cause we dont smog test motorcycles :) ...yet anyways
