How do you make a photo look "vintage" in photoshop elements 9?

  • How do you make a photo have a vintage feel to it in photoshop elements? I found a page for it, but it includes using curves, which doesn't exist in photoshop elements. Vintage looking photos seem to be in style right now. How do I do things like cross process and lomo in photoshop elements? Thanks!

    Red Paw Media offers some really great plugins but they have a lot of sliders and you have to watch the tutorials a few times to learn how to use them. http://www.redpawmedia.com/ You can use Filter>Remove Camera Distortion's Vignette section to give your photos a dark Lomo vignette. I just downloaded a vintage action for Photoshop from the Adobe Exchange that I'll try in Elements 6 and 9. I'll add a note to this answer if it works in either of them.
