Looking for a photography/video camera? What brand?

I'm currently looking for a camera that is capable of taking very nice photos, as well as hd preferred video capabilities.Id like to stay around 400 dollars. What brands out there are the best camera makers? Thanks!

I totally recommend: Nikon COOLPIX L120 -it takes extremely well pictures/videos -can zoom in very far, and doesn't fuzz up -it is $280 at local stores (target, Walmart, etc.)
