Can a canon powershot sx40 hs do time lapse photography?

Answer:
Yes, probably, but you'll have to install the alpha version of CHDK for the SX40 and an intervalometer script. I have a tutorial for doing it with a Canon Powershot S3 IS, a predecessor of the SX40. http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/SX40 http://timelapseblog.com/2009/06/12/hack-your-powershot-with-chdk/ http://timelapseblog.com/2009/07/06/install-a-chdk-intervalometer-on-your-powershot/
