What is the best way to make a brochure?

  • Hello. I am a college student and I will be in charge of making a brochure for my fraternity for the recruitment this coming fall. I was just wondering what programs are best to make brochures with. I have all the big microsoft programs and photoshop as well. Any pointers on how to make an effective brochure in either of these programs?

    You are asking for the "best" way, so I have to advise using InDesign or QuarkXPRESS as these productsa are specifically designed to do page layouts. However, be aware that either of these apps have steep learning curves and you may not have the time to learn to do, even that one brochure in the time youi have to do it. So, the "best" way for YOU to do is might be in whatever application you have that you know well. Maybe you know Illustrator. It makes a dany page layout app if you know how. It certainly does text well and allows you to place graphics where needed. Push comes to shove, a brochure can be done in Microsoft Word, or some other word processor app, as long as you know HOW to use it.
