How do you color line art using Gimp?

Coloring other people's line art?

  • I have to color someones line art on a art sharing website. The whole paper is white (Except for the line art :P)...Sadly I have no Idea how to color them in. I cant use paint bucket because it will fill in the entire page, I cant use the magic wand tool if I want to take away the white parts... I have no idea how to do this. If anyone can help me I will be very happy :) Im using Paint tool SAI and sometimes Adobe photoshop cs3

  • Answer:

You can use photoshop here is a site that helps with coloring line art on photoshop. Remember that this is assuming that you drew a picture and scanned it. So you can ignore most of that. You should still read all of it because there is some VERY important points in it.

Other answers

Use Photoshop. Open up the image and set it to 'Multiply' This gets rid of the white background. Then make layers underneath that one and color like it's a coloring book
