Whats a video game career without drawing?

• I'm stuck at a dead end job, my hobby is video game... absolutely love them. but my dreams are halted by the fact that i cant draw at all. I can write and i have good ideas, however it seems like every thing that has to do with video games ties in with some kind of artistic drawing. Whats a Career in the Video game industrial that i can get into? and how can i do it?

  Without a college degree or some kind of useful experience it's tough to break into the industry. Programmers don't need any drawing ability, but you do need to study the necessary programming for quite some time before you could work on big-name games. An entry-level way to get into the industry is as a QA (quality assurance) tester, which basically involves playing unreleased games and finding all the bugs and errors the game has. It's not as fun as it sounds because you aren't playing to enjoy yourself, but to find ways the game might break. It's pretty repetitive at times. Most places also want you to have some experience too, so it can be tough to get in that way as well. There are universities that have programs for game design, programming and testing so look around and you might find something that works for you. Another long shot is if you are amazing at games you could try for MLG (Major League Gaming) or something similar.
