How to do Color Editing?

Photo editing. One color throughout black and white picture?

• What is this effect called? I'm not talking about one item in color in a black and white photo. I'm talking about a single color throughout a black and white photo. For example- having a picture of a girl drinking coca cola, and selecting the color red. The label on the bottle would be red, perhaps she had red on her shirt, her lips would have some red and maybe even some of her skin hues. Does anyone know what I mean?! My cousin's camera used to have this option but i'm really interested in an iPhone app for it. Any suggestions? Even the term for it would be extremely helpful! Thanks!
