How "good" do you have to be to get a job as an animator at Pixar?

    You could go visit their site and look at the requirements for what their looking at when it comes to being an animator at Pixar. You have to be able to animate well (bring the emotions out the character, and more) where you hardly have any flaws and must catch their interest to get hired there. You also need a demo reel, if you have none they will not look at you.

No. Not a master's degree. But it is definitely the top of the top. You do need to be an expert in computer animation. You need to have a lot of talent. Also Pixar is not that big and they get tens of thousands of resumes. It will be very difficult to be hired there. You might need to know someone there.
