How does PayPal work and how much does it cost?

How much does it cost to make prints and how does it work (for drawings)?

  • Alot of people ask me to draw them stuff and say they like my art, so I figured I should just try to sell them because I really need to make money and I figured this could be a good way. But how could I make prints? How does it work? Can someone please explain to me and what I would have to do to make them? And how much does it cost? I'm thinking the size I would go is 8 x 11 probably, but I'm not sure. Oh, but do you have to go according to the ACTUAL size of paper you use to draw them or can you change the size? If you could give me a website that explains to me exactly what to do, that would be great. I have no idea how to even do this or how it works. Thanks.

You can scan your artwork using a high quality scanner or you can buy a high quality digital camera and take a photo of your artwork and upload it to your computer. You can buy this book on Amazon website to help you take professional pictures of your artwork: Photographing Arts, Crafts & Collectibles by Steve Meltzer. Depending on the company, the following websites allow you to do one, some, or all of the following: 1. Make money selling your original artwork 2. Post your artwork for free for the whole world to see 3. Reproduce your artwork (as prints and other items) for only you to buy 4. Reproduce your art as prints, posters, canvas art, t-shirts, greeting cards, calendars, mugs, photo books, self published books, and other items! They will create and ship the items to your customers and pay you when someone buys your items. Check all these websites out to see what services they offer. Also, do your research and make sure the company is reputable before giving out your personal information! 1. ArtByUs 2. Artid 3. Artist Rising 4. Artspan 5. Blurb 6. CafePress 7. CVS Photo 8. If you have a scanner (or access to one) you should be able to scan in your work – most scanners are limited in size to A4 or 8 x 11, although they can get up to a very large size. Scan your work at 300ppi or higher if you are going to enlarge it (you might need to retouch the work after you have scanned it – use Photoshop or Gimp), save it to a cd and take it to a local photo printing shop they should be able to output a good quality print. If you want to go further (better quality and higher quantity) go to a large format digital printer.
