How to start selling my art?

How do I start selling art?

• I would really like to know where to start in selling art. Does anyone have experience with selling art online, at festivals, anything? Where did you start? How long did it take for people to really notice you and buy your art? I want to invest my money in more nice art supplies, canvases etc... Any good websites? I have an account on deviantart.com, just need to get a hold of a scanner to make some of my work look better online. I always have people asking me to draw something for them and recently had a neighbor pay me to paint some pumpkins for Halloween once she saw the ones I painted that were on my porch. If people are willing to buy my work, I would love to start doing what I need to get out there and sell more art and paint more while also getting to save up some money doing something I love, art is one of the things I am really passionate about and good at. I just moved looking for jobs, probably a pizza parlor being only 17 if I could start my own little business selling art, it would be a lot more enjoyable then serving pizza all the time. ANYWAY so How can I start? How long would it take to start making something? Does anyone have there experience or success stories with this kind of thing?
