How does Narrow Street, East London look like?

What can I do to make my picture look like it's morning?10 points!?

  • I'll give 10 points to the best answer! I'm drawing a picture set in the late 1800s of a businessman in a bowler hat on a street in London. I want everything to be black and white except the sunrise, will that look stupid? I want it to look like it's set in the morning, I just don't know how. I was thinking about having him outside a coffee shop, and having the opening times from 6am-9am, and it being open, but I don't know what coffee companies were popular in the 1800s. Can someone help me?

  • Answer:

Well, the black and white idea is good. If the sunrise is full of color, the viewer might not pay so much attention to the businessman. if that is what you're aiming at, go for it. If you want to look like it's set in the morning, then you could use the rooster idea. You can also have a bunch of shops next to him but are unopen to signify the day is early and no one wants to get up and have to get to work. at sunrise, you can still sort of see the stars. the streetlights can be on, birds tweet and there is barely any daylight. There could be dew on grass. You dont have to put a real coffee shop there. You can make up your own or just write "Coffee" or something similar.

The black and white idea is a good one, so then the light coming from the sun will have good contrast with the rest of the picture. You should try using a light yellow in the sky peeking out from many clouds and birds chirping and maybe a rooster in the background on top of a barn signifying the morning.

that is a good idea. but you should put the sunrise too in black and white. that will look classic. the coffee shop will look good only when the sun rise is moderate and a little bit smooth. you can have a glimpse of those kind of pictures in the internet for idea. all the best

I like the idea of making the sunrise in color. Just as long as it's not a bright color that pops out. Maybe a very soft yellow.

You can do it without color.
