What jobs involve caring for animals?
-
I've always wanted to work with animals. Ever since i was little i've wanted to be a vet, and i still want to now. But, i faint with blood. I am getting better at dealing with it, it doesnt bother me as much. My parents say i'll get over it and it wont be a big idea anymore, but i know people that havent gotten over it. So i researched a veternary technichian and thought it was better, as they dont do surgery. But i still dont know if i will ever get over blood and be a vet/technichan. Is there any other jobs that involve caring for animals, like the same sort of things as the above^? thankyou :)

Answer:
Vet, Vet Tech, Vet Nurse.... to be brutally honest, if you tell yourself blood is going to be a big problem and stop you doing a particular job then it will be. On the other hand, keep telling yourself its getting better and its bothering you less, and chances are you WILL get over it and it won't stop you doing the job you really want to do. If it really is getting in the way though, have a look at some of these: Kennel Maid Dog Groomer Dog handler/trainer/kennel staff with Police, Military or Customs Farm Hand Mounted Police/Armed Forces - rider, trainer, stable hand Riding Instructor Groom/stable hand at a Racing/Competition Yard, Riding School or trekking centre

I am like you and would love to be a vet tech but it pays very little If you want to work with animals as a job, you could work as a receptionist at a vet's office or there are pet psychologists. But based on what you wrote, I think you might enjoy being a physical therapist for animals or an animal-assisted therapist -- personally I think this would be a great job because you would be bringing joy to an person who is ill which brings happiness to the pet and I think you will feel very rewarded too (check out the YouTube video in the last link (Delta Society).

there is just working in a kennels or the zoo or a dog walker or pet grooming or stable hand or you could open up you own pet kennels..(you will need to get a license for this though ) none of these jobs involve blood but they all care for animals

Hi Well, you could be a Vet nary nurse, but you would go into surgery, you could work in an animal shelter, or a horse shelter. Good luck x
