Walmart return/exchange policy?

I got a platy from Walmart and saw that he had lost his eye. What's the return policy for Walmart about...?

  • live fish? walmart's a horrible place for a fish! I saw so many fish in 1 puny tank and almost 30 almost-dead bettas! Anyway, today, I went to Walmart to buy a few platies. After I introduced it to my tank, etc., I saw that one of his eyes are gone, completely. I immediately removed him from the water in case of disease. Know, can I exchange this fish or return it? Do you think it was diseased? Do I have to change my tank water? Thank you for all of your help! And then: What is the quality of the fish? (I went to the same Walmart 9 days ago and they didn't have platies, so I think this stock is fairly new.)

    yes I would say you can bring it back, as long as you have your receipt, they will take anything back! and plus its not dead, so that's a bonus ! good luck !

Walmart will usually take anything back, no matter what. I wouldn't buy anything living from walmart.. They don't know what they are doing, and chances are it is sick. Unless it says otherwise on your receipt, I would attempt to take it back immediately. I doubt they will take it back without a receipt though, especially if they don't have any in stock.

i would change the water in ur tank. Please help the poor fish dont send him back to walmart. He lost an eye there try to heal him aquiruim salt to help it heal that poor fish. Remove him from ur tank and put him a bowl
