Where can I buy gold dust?

My Gold Dust Molly had babies..am I doing the right thing?

  • Well i got a Gold Dust Molly the other day at a pet store, and apparently it was pregnant before I brought it home. It had babies over night the other night, and I didn't know what to do. I cant keep the babies because they'll end up just having more babies probably. But I felt bad for them because I know the mom will try to eat them, so i fished them out and put them in a separate container with some pebbles on the bottom and about 3 inches of water. I cant go buy anything because of not having much money. When they get to big I am going to give them to a pet store. Am I doing the right thing? I also put a little fish food in the container but I dont know if they'll eat it or not. Please help!

    make sure the food is powdered. and the babies need a heater and a filter or they probably wont survive.

Yeah your definetly doing the right thing. If they don't eat buy fry food. They'll definetly eat that.

They might die without a filter or heater- actually theres a high chance they will, you can buy a baby net that you put into the same tank but separated off.. The same thing happened to me and i just kept them in one and they survived... You do have to wait a while till there old enough though, How many babies did she have, because i only had about three and they where girls so i just kept them and they didn't over breed. But your doing the right thing!- If you cant afford the net, then make your own our of white tights or sum thing? There all over the internet also so you could probs get one at next to nothing.. :)
