Help with My Peacock eel?

How do i care for eel larvae cuz this is crazy?

  • I move my 2 peacock eels into a larger 60 gallon tank and was too lazy to immediately dump my 20 gallon tank. Today my daughter pointed out i have snakes in there so i looked and sure enough i have elongated larvae swimming about and several eggs in the tank i didnt notice before. I looked it up and apparently there is no record of captive breeding so what do i do now, i need info how to care for these. I've NOT AT ALL been feeding live anything so there's really no chance these could be any other type of larvae save eel. Pls help any info is a plus, if u recommend sites mobile friendly only please. I'm feeding them what i feed my eels but idk what else i should do. If i keep them i will donate them to a locate pet store as i did with my baby black mollies. For some reason i think i have a knack for creating perfect breeding habitats without trying lol, i just want to nurse them bigger and give them a chance at new homes.

  • Answer:

that would be very strange, but if they are eels you should be able to tell with a magnifying glass or microscope. usually fry need special foods, I'm surprised that you are able to get them to eat what you have. I you didn't seem so sure, I'd say they aren't eels. Special foods have to be prepared ahead of time, like newly hatched brine shrimp, infusoria cultured water, micro worms.
