What are the fastest snail species?

Parasitic/invasive snail species?

  • I have a 30 gallon tank with 3 fancy goldfish and an Inca snail. I just found a tiny brown snail the size of a pinhead crawling around above the waterline, and I'm wondering how on Earth it got in there, and whether or not there may be more. I can't see any more (if there are any.) I do have live plants but they've been in my tank for MONTHS now (I've also had my snail for awhile) and I'm not sure if a snail this small would have stayed this small if it came in when I put in the plants. Also, my snail has been closed up in his shell for over a week now. I guessed it was because of the steadily increasing temperature, but now I'm worried it might have something to do with this little guy.

  • Answer:

The little tiny snails like to go up inside of the adult snail's shell. (so I hear) it might have been in the plants and you just never saw it. snail eggs take a long time to hatch.
