How do I treat bamboo to be safely added to my aquarium? (NOT "Lucky Bamboo")?
-
I collected some dead and dried wild bamboo shoots to be added to my 10 gallon betta tank. I do not want it to harm the condition of the water, so what must be done to prevent it from rotting? I read that someone once used polyurethane to seal it. Is that safe for the fish?

Answer:
My suggestion is put the Bamboo shot in a separate water container for a couple of days and then add it into the tank you have. So that all the effects will not impact on the tank. And Betta are Hardy fishes and will survive easily if something happens to water also.
