Why No Sea-Monkeys?????????

I have had my sea monkeys for about a week. The room they are in is very cold, and I know that due to this they can take over a week to hatch. So I have waited patiently. I was very glad yesterday to find about 3 or 4 little sea monkeys in the tank. But that is it! I have not seen any new ones since, and if anything I can only see 1 or 2 now. I hate to be impatient, but I am afraid that no more are going to hatch. I have a feeling it may be due to that I have had sea monkeys before in the same little tank thing from previously. The tank has been sitting somewhere for over 3 years, and was very dusty. I only gave it a quick rinse out because I was in a rush when I was putting the purifier in. Could this be a factor to the slow, or no, growth? Thank you in advance for any help or advice. (:
