Do fire belly toads hibernate?

Fire belly toads HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

  • i have 2 fire belly toads and one was making a barking noise and it was the one i thought was a female and it was doing a humping movement and well i guss they where mating how do u tell if they are mating and every thing in between

  • Answer:

Lol. well, if it was barking and, er humping, that's probably the male. XD; if it climbs on the back of the other frog and the other frog doesn't make a special croaking noise, or throw it off, that's probably a female, and they're probably mating. ^-^" also the male has little black things on his feet that are more obvious during mating season, but as I just recently got my first Fire Belly I'm not really sure how easy they are to see. :/ that sounds like a male though XD; and like i said if it hops on the other one and it doesn't croak or throw it that's probably a female and they probably will mate. ^-^ if it does croak, that's a male's way of telling the other male it's made a mistake, because see when the male is in mating season it hops on every frog. x-x" males are said to have bumpier/rougher backs and thicker arms and a smaller body than the female.
