Clownfish feeding help?

Leopard Gecko Feeding Help?!?

  • My Leopard Gecko has only been eating waxworms. Waxworms are really fatty for them and I dont wanna keep feeding them to her. So I got mealworms today and she wont eat those either! Ive tried all the foods. Ive tried tease feeding and that isnt working for her either. So Im thinking the next step is force feeding. The heat in the cage is at a hot temperature so that should boost her appetite. its about 105 degrees F in there right now. So should I try force feeding? What elses should I do?! Ive tried crickets, superworms, waxworms and now mealworms and i have to get her to eat these! I know its because of the winter but I still need to feed her. HELP!

  • Answer:

Leopard geckos can get addicted to waxworms... which is probably why your gecko wont eat anything else. If the addiction continues, it can kill them. Here's one way to get them to start eating crickets/mealworms again: http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/lizards/257128-leopard-gecko-addicted-wax-worms.html There are other ways too, just do a google search on waxworm addiction/leopard geckos. Good luck! And remember waxworms should be fed sparingly.

Other answers

Check your Leopard Gecko for any signs of diseases or injuries. If your Gecko is already to obese, try cutting down on it's rations or stop feeding it altogether, a hungry animal is more likely to try new things. And while your doing all this, drop your temp down to 85-88 degrees, the temp should be relatively stable year round.
