How can you tell if your bearded dragon is sick?

How can I tell how old my bearded dragon is ?

  • I'm guessing he's no more then 3 or 4 months old ..ne tips ?! Also how Ken I tell his sex?

  • Answer:

aging is usually done through sizing as they should be growing as they age. sexing is hard to do until they are actually a lot older. after 6 months it is consider easier, just look it up you can find good pictures to compare too. I would assume at 3 to 4 months, he should be at least 12 inches long if not more, eating like a horse still too.

Forget about sexing your Beardie, it's not really that important unless you want to breed him/her and get it a mate, which, can i add is extremely unadvisable unless you have a market for babies as the market is saturated with Bearded Dragons right now. It's 'CAN' not ken....sorry but come on lol Also, if you have photobucket or flickr or something then upload a pic for people to see and i'm sure it'll be much easier to tell how old he is.

If your Bearded Dragon is 3 - 4 months old then determining the sex of your Bearded Dragon wouldn't be easy or too accurate. It's a lot easier to tell when they are 8 months and older. A male should have two lumps which are parallel to each other behind the vent whereas a female wouldn't. The age depends on size. Although it won't be as accurate by roughly 2 months since all Bearded Dragons grow at different rates. The best way is to ask who you bought the dragon from or you could post some pictures online to make it easier for others to estimate.
