My chameleon is doing really bad?

Food alternatives for chameleon?

  • Hi. I want to buy a pet chameleon but there is just one problem. I have been reading that crickets are a very good source of food for them but i hate crickets. I could never keep them in my house. However i have heard that chameleons also eat worms. I have no problem with worms and i could get them easily. Ive also been thinking that i could get worms from the garden. What type of worms would be in my garden and would it be suitable for a chameleon. I am very very interested in keeping a chameleon but if i have to feed them crickets or similar insects then no chameleon for me. Thank you.

  • Answer:

to add a bit of variety to its diet, you can feed it pinkie mice when its large enough. and mealworms are the main worm people usually refer to. also, silkworms, goliath worms, waxworms, or superworms can be fed as well. be sure to limit the wax worms, due to that they are loaded with fat
