What do blue tongued skinks eat and how often?

PLACES OR WEBSITES TO BUY BLUE TONGUED SKINKS?

  • I'm looking to buy a blue tongued skink (preferably a baby northern one) i would rather order one from the internet. is there a reputable website that isn't too pricey? $100 or less would be great because i don't think my parents want to spend too much money on one. Believe me, I've done a lot of research on them already and I LOVE all animals so this skink will be in good hands. :) thanks so much in advance! any additional tips on skinks would be great to!

    if i was buying one i would go to Petco or pets for sale and then u could fine what u are looking for there they have a lot of animals or the feedstore.

Well it depends on a lot of factors such as where you but it from and what type of blue tongue skink you are getting. There are I Northern, Eastern, etc and each goes for a different price. Online you can get babies generally from around 100 to 150 and it will usually cost 50 to ship it out. Now you can also go to your local pet shop and get one between 150-200 probably. There's nothing wrong w/ getting a BTS from a pet shop, just as long as it's reputable and they have good care habits. Online can sometimes be one of the worst places to buy reptiles. Many times the quality of what they show you is not what you end up getting. If you're in the market, www.petsatpeaces.com has some blue tongues for $150 or you can try www.kingsnake.com and in the classified section, there is a listing of all kinds of bts for sale.
