My leopard gecko has a LARGE open wound. How to heal?
-
I took my leopard gecko to the vet after I noticed a sort of growth a little north of his tail. It was separating his tail from the rest of his body. The vet removed it and it seems to have been just some shed skin that had stuck to him. The wound closed quite a bit already but he has shed again since, including inside the wound. Should I remove the shed skin from inside? How do lizards heal from such large wounds? What kind of medicine should I use? My vet gave me some antibiotics but I'm not sure it's enough.

Answer:
do what your vet says, if necessary go and see him/her again and say it isn't working, or get in touch with a lizard specialist. My only advice for you is to keep the cage as clean as possible :D
