One day my Texas Spiny goes under the soil and sleeps. The next day he comes up not letting me pet him. It's like he's gone wild or something. What does this mean?

Try not petting him so often. Reptiles are not dogs, rats, cats, etc. They become stressed. Try petting them at 30 min. per day at most.
