What is wrong with my bearded dragon?

  • We bought our bearded dragon in October as a baby, at first she was nervous and didn't eat, we were told to expect this until she had settled in, within a few days she was eating exactly how she was suppose too had quite an appetite, although her appetite remained she didn't seem very active, didn't really come to us, hid under her rock, we removed her rock, bathed her and she came out of her shell again, now she likes being handled, she likes the bath, she sits on our shoulder and sleeps on my partners chest once it's dark and always at the front of her vivarium, however despite offering her many different things, she isn't eating much at all, is it normal for bearded dragons to chance appetites, have moods? or is something wrong with her? i want to take her to the vets but everyones telling me she's fine, i am really concerned about her eating habits.

    her habitat could be too cold for her, if it is too cold then she might not be digesting her food right and she could not want to eat because she may have food that is still undigested in her, if she doesn't eat at all than you should take her to the vet if you have the money. because it could be something serious, i do not have a lot of experience with bearded dragons but i hope this help. and i hope your beardie does well. good luck. :)

you prob. have the tank too cold. the basking area should be 110. and you should dust her crickets in calcium and vitamins.(trust me you need to). dont take her to the vet. reptiles dont show signs of sickness until there dead pretty much. this is a defense mechanism and it makes curing retiles hard. i went to the vet and spent 150 bucks on my lizard and he died that day:( what temp is your cage at. you should have 0 humidity and a basking spot of 110 , the rest of the cage should go down to 85 and at night let it go to 65.
