I lost my ball python how do i bring him out of hiding.

Tips for finding a lost ball python?

  • My ball python has been missing for over 24 hours now. I am pretty sure that he is still in the house. What is the possibility of him crossing over cold linoleum? He was lost in a carpeted room, but I ask about the linoleum because our water heater and furnace are in a room that he would have to go across it. Do you have any tips for finding him or for possibly getting him to come out of hiding? He's about 2-2.5 feet long.

  • Answer:

Look for places that are warm or wet. That's where he's most likely to go. You can even put his cage on the floor, he might end up finding his way back on his own. Also check inside, on top of, and under all of your furniture. He's going to look for someplace dark and secure to hide. Since he will be most active at night that may be the best time to search for him.

Yes, he could have crossed the linoleum. Ours used to get 'lost' in the house all the time . .usually ended up in a boot in the closet . . look in cool, dark places . . they like to hide out in them, but then they get cold and don't usually find their way out again.

Im happy you found him. But make sure that now your cage is snake proofed so he won't get away on you again!

Thats good. But you have to have the right locking mechanisms for you cage.

after twenty four hours of looking for a snake you must be really tired i know i was anyways im glad you finaly found it
