How can I get rid of the scrape on my face?

What can I do for a scrape on my dogs face?

  • I have a 10 month old bear coat mini shar pei. He gets really bad separation anxiety so I leave him in the hallway and block it off with a tall baby gate. The other day I came home and he has 2 round scrapes on each side of his face. I have NO idea how this happened. What can I use to clean it or put on it so it does not get infected? It wasn't anything deep it was just a scrape it looked like it bled alittle bit but only enough to wet that area.

    Try washing with luke warm water with salt in it to clean the scrape, it should be fine if not then take to the Vet, he probably got the face scrapes on the tall baby gate. Also try leaving a radio on and leave (something of yours that can be sacrificed) with your scent on it like a t-shirt for the pup to help with the separation anxiety. Soft toys are good too. I hope you didn't pay for that "mini" "bear coat" shar-pei. Directly from the CSPCA.com (Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America): Buyers should be wary of breeders charging large sums for these non-standard dogs. Although the CSPCA acknowledges that flowered (spotted), bear-coat, and mini or toy sized dogs can occasionally be produced by two standard Shar-Pei in any reputable breeding program, it should be emphasized that this organization is opposed to the purposeful breeding of any non-standard Shar-Pei in order to intentionally produce nonstandard dogs!
