Questions on Pekin Duck Safety around different aged dogs/puppies. : )?

• To start off , please don't get mad because it's under dogs. This has to do with dogs. ( : I want two ducklings in April , I've had a pekin duckling before. His name was Harley and he loved my cat. I have a few questions.Don't tell me not to get the ducklings cause it doesn't help me in any way. I just want answers for my questions. Please help. - I have a 14 month old dog he is wonderful around cats and doesn't care for our rabbit , hates squirells and has never been around birds or ducks. - I have an indoor cat who is wonderful with dogs and rabbits but has never been around birds or ducks. - I have two puppies , 6 months old. They'll be one July 30th. They love our rabbit but have never been in the cage with him. They love the cat to death , but sometimes they get excited and try to play in vicious ways. I'm getting the duck(s) no questions asked. What i need to know is how to train my dogs. I'm thinking that i completely stop the viciousness with the cat and start the training with my puppies. If I need tips , if you can give me tips please do. ( : If you want to lecture me. . .   Sorry but you can train out instinct. Dogs instinctively attack animals they perceive as prey. You will have to be careful at all times to keep the dogs away from the ducks. I suggest a covered enclosure for the ducks with a deeply dug concrete base all the way around it, to discourage digging in by the dogs. It might be kinder to the ducks if you didn't get any while you have dogs, unless you have border collies that have been trained with poultry.
