What are different signs of recovery from parvo?

Wondering if my puppy is on the road to recovery from Parvo..?

• I took my 9 mo old puppy to the vet three days ago after he'd been very lethargic for a day or two. He tested strongly for Parvo and not being able to afford hospitalization, I decided to try the at-home method. I give him 5 large syringes of water, gatorade, and pedialyte by mouth every 2 hours, pepto bismol every 8 hours, an antibiotic every 12. The first couple days of this he would throw it back up but within the last couple days, he has kept everything down. He also has his appetite back and we're giving him small portions of food that he is keeping down as well. He is energetic again, wags his tail, and even jumps when I bring his food to him. I am just concerned because I have read stories about parvo puppies looking better then suddenly dying. I know that only time will tell but I'd just like to know if it sounds like my puppy is getting better. Also, how long do the Parvo symptoms usually last and how long until a puppy is in the clear?
