My dog keeps pooping and peeing in the house?

My dog won't stop pooping in my house?!?

  • I have a three year old pit bull. she is an abosolute sweetheart and a good dog. but lately at night she has been pooping and peeing in my house. I have a dog bed in my room where she can sleep but she refuses to. and i have to literally push her outside when i know she needs to be let out. even then she stands by the door and wants to come back in. she has had a few stressors lately. our other dog had to be put to sleep. and my mom just moved to a different state. (they loved each other) I just don't know what to do about her. this isn't like her and im afraid if she keeps doing this ill have to get rid of her, and i don't want to do that. Im very frustrated. Please help!

  • Answer:

You need to crate her at night until she starts acting better. When she goes outside take her on a leash or go with her so you know she has done her business. You need to go back to treating her like a puppy again for a while.

Get a crate and use it at night and when you aren't home. Give you treat toys that you fill with food to keep her busy. Give her a big knuckle bone to chew on in the crate. Take her for LONG walks and play ball with her to tire her out. Get her set into a routine.

GET A DOG TRAINER OR TRAIN HER GET A LEASH OR SOMETHING PUT IT AROUND HER NECK AND WHEN SHE TRIES TO POOP OR PEE YANK IT AND PUT HER OUTSIDE.

Don't let her in until she poops.
