What should I expect after my ACL surgery?

Least Expensive ACL Surgery for a Rottweiler?

• My 2 1/2 year old male Rottweiler has always had knee problems. Normally when we would take him out for long runs or walks he would come in with a limp, but we thought It was nothing serious since the following day it would be normal. But about a month ago we noticed he wouldn't walk on his right rear and took him into Banfeild. They told us he had a broken and inflamed ACL and that it was common. The surgery was originally (as they told us) about 1,500 however, when we got the total cost with the highest insurance policy it was about 2,500. He is currently on medication for the pain but needs the procedure. We can't really pull that money out of our pockets right now seeing as we didn't expect this to happen. We've been trying and calling trying different places, trying to see if they will preform the surgery for less. We know this is about the lowest we can go but we live in the Carolinas, is there anyone who knows of somewhere we can take him that has a better payment plan or bill, we are willing to drive out of state not out of the country. ANY advice would be appreciated, Thank you!

  There are sites online, but you have to weed through them. Go to google.com and type in 'help with vet bills', this will bring up all sorts of options, you sift through them to see which can apply to you and contact the people there.
