Strange bleeding?

My cat is bleeding from his mouth, but isn't acting strange?

  • Three days ago I noticed some little blood marks around the house, on places where my cat sleeps. He's still bleeding from his mouth, but only now and then. He's still eating normally, without any (obvious) pain. He's still drinking the same, sleeping the same, acting the same... Sometimes it's just a little drop, other times it's this mucus-like consistency (with the color of blood) and it's more. I don't know what to do. He seems perfectly fine, except in his mouth apparently. Does anybody have an idea what might cause this?

  • Answer:

maybe its a "oral bartonella disease" look it up. hope this helps.........

Without examining your cat, no I have no idea. It may be that he's lost or broken a tooth, or it could be something more serious. The cat can't tell you what the problem is either, so take him to a vet. You shouldn't have let this go on for 3 days.

Is it from his mouth or his NOSE? Any bleeding should have a vet take a look. Even if it's the teeth causing pain, a cat will eat through the pain till it gets to the agony stage. It should be checked.

You need to take the cat to the vet. If the blood spots show up in a mucus, its probably an infection that is causing the bleeding.
