Why is my cat suddenly urinating outside of the litter box?

Why is my cat female 1 year old urinating in my bathroom/bedroom and not her litter box?

  • We got another kitten about 2 months ago, my older one didn't like her to begin with, but then were sleeping and playing together very well. Now Millie, the 1 year old will swat at the young one and hurt her for no reason. She has been hissing at us and biting us when we come near. She has never been like this! I use to give her liquid vitamins for pets and cat lax to help clean her out, now she wont even take it anymore. She doesn't eat hardly and her poop is runny, not solid! What do I do?

  • Answer:

It sounds almost like she may have a UTI. But with the runny stools, she may be ill in another way. Cats will pee in odd places when they're ill or distressed to get your attention. A call to your vet is in order.

With all those symptoms your cat probably has a health problem that needs to be attended to. I suggest you get her to the vet as soon as possible.

when ctas pee randomly, it means theyre trying to tell you something aka their sick and want you to take them to the vet, happened with my cats and it turned out to be urinary tract problems( he had crystal like peices blocking the inside of his uh... private area. super sad!
