How can i tell when my pregnant cat is gonna have baby's when i don't know when she got pregnant?

  • i don't know when my cat got pregnant because i just found out in the middle of June and i think shes gonna give birth in about a week but im not sure her stomach is huge her nipples are regular pink and have grayish whitish circles around them. And well if you also tell me if you know how far along you think she is that would help a ton. and if you have any kittens names not like zoom or pumpkin but like callie or brutus and the cats are orange and black and calico any answers would help thanks a ton for your answers

  • Answer:

The nipples will swell about 10 days before she gives birth. It will be noticeably different. I noticed the change, counted 10 days on my calendar and sure enough she gave birth on day 10. Also there might be a milk discharge. I never saw the discharge but did feel the dried milk around my cat's nipples. I gently massaged it off with a warm towel to keep her clean. She will start patrolling for a place to give birth to the kittens as well. She will probably be irritable about being picked up or held because she is very uncomfortable. My cat did not like the original spot I picked for her and I could tell she was trying to delay labor. I moved her into another room and hours later she was in labor. As for names, what about spices? Saffron,Cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. would be a fun way to go with their coloring. I named my cat's litter after character from one of my favorite TV comedies.

Your best bet: take her to the veterinarian. If you cannot afford the regular vet, see if any local pet shops in your area offer weekend discount veterinary clinics.

I'm sorry, but it's a bit of a waiting game! Even if you did have the approx. date of the mating, you would just stress out when she hasn't had her bubs by the due date lol If her nipples are just normal pink, i'd say she isn't quite due yet, as they go a very dark sort of pink/red colour. It sounds like they are just getting prepared(with milk). If you can feel them kicking(just slow, rolling movements) then she is only in her 5/6 week. If they are kicking(soccer match, alien hand sticking out of stomach kind of action) then you can start counting down the days. If you can't feel them at all, then she's probably just entered her 4th week, as by the sounds of it she is already showing. Other then that, you will notice her looking for a place to have them more regularly, if she tends to favor a spot now more then any other time, count down the days, as she is getting herself ready. Names... I named my four: Leilo(girl, stripey and white) Leon(boy, tiger striped) Bob Jnr(after daddy, black and white) and Cheddar(girl, black and white). My stripey queen's name is Skitz. I like the name Callie for a Calico(when it's in trouble you can call out 'Calico' and when it's being loving you can say 'oh, Callie' lol) You could think of a theme and name them after things in that theme, like after angels, or flowers(sorry none are coming to mind right now lol) Good luck with your kitties! They are so much fun to have around, and the birth will be an awesome experience! Add: If she has been preggers for 2 months now, she will be due any day!! They are pregnant for 9 weeks, give or take, so start watching for her chosen spot!!! Good luck!

my cat is pregnant and she is the same way as your cat so she is i don't no if its good or bad =) =(
